finding a simple Venapp application in the Vensim documentation

Hi

I am trying fo learn the Venapp.

But I am not able to run a simple Venapp application found in the Vensim documentation to see how it works by looking at the command script.

Where can I find such a Venapp application?

There are venapp files in the sample models repertory but I do not know how to run them.

You'll need to use the old GUI in order to work with Venapps for now.

There are a few examples in the help system, search for files with the extension VCD.

Alternatively, if you are running Vensim DSS 10.1, hold SHIFT when inserting an IO object, there are a few new controls available.

I would like to run the venapp of the world model in the venapp directory of the Vensim\sample directory.

Open the VCD file using the Vensim text editor, then under the file menu, there is an option to run.

There is no run option in the file menu in the Vensim text editor. I tried too the new text editor of the menu. It has no run either.

I have found the explanation.

I have to switch to the old guy and the the text editor has a run Venapp option.

But i had saved a model with the new guy. And if i try to open it with the old guy option, it shows an error. i have sent a report of the error to you.

if i wand to open the model imus do it with the new guy option set.

Once open with the new guy, if i try to change the guy to the old one, there is an error too. i sent the report of that error to you too.
