Exporting CLD for presentation
Hi, I would like to build up my CLD in stages to show it in a presentation and in document.
Using View->Export as SVG gives me files in which the loop arrowheads are missing (please see attachment, R1, for example).
When I print to pdf, the CLD is spread across multiple (two) pages -- I don't see an option to set the number of pages.
I need a high resolution export of my CLD on a single landscape page. How can I get this?
I am using DSS 10.0.0 on Windows.

Sorry about this, this is one of the things we missed. It will be fixed in the next release.

Thank you.
Following up on this, is there a way to get the print in a single PDF page? That would also help to present the CLD stage-by-stage.

Related to the this new "single page PDF" question: There used to be a "printed selected variables" and then you could choose to "Fit on one page". Is this functionality gone now? I have a diagram (attached) that currently prints on nine (9) different landscape pages, even though 6 of the sheets are blank. If you imagine a 3x3 grid, only the center column has content.

Can you change the paper size or the zoom level?Ashish_Kumar wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 3:19 am Thank you.

We have no control over what the PDF printer driver does.

Re: Exporting CLD for presentation
Is there functionality to within Vensim to "Fit onto one page" still? This was a feature in the print window but I don't see it now. Seems like Vensim use to do some scaling before handing it to the print driver but now it doesn't. I've adjusted the print driving (macOS) in several ways but the print out is still over several pages. Seems like something upstream might be able to help.

Re: Exporting CLD for presentation
The new version does solve the problem of missing arrowheads in the loop. However, it wasn't clear to me how one can control the zoom get an svg file that shows the complete picture.
The solution I am using now is as follows:
- Add blank text boxes on the top right and bottom left, leaving gaps between these and the rest of the variables
- Select all
- Print to pdf
I get the single, complete view that I need.

Can you email the model to us? The export to SVG works fine for me with the arrowheads on the comments working fine.

I'm confused. The SVG file you sent looks fine to me, I've attached a screen shot of the SVG file in Inkscape, what is missing from the model?Ashish_Kumar wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 2:14 am The new version does solve the problem of missing arrowheads in the loop. Re: Exporting CLD for presentation
I just opened the SVG file by double clicking on it, and it opened in a browser, where the top and bottom were truncated (in both Chrome and Edge). It does work with Inkscape.
Thanks.
Thanks.
