Custom Graphs - Labeling X axis units in x vs. y graph (and others)

Post by rdudley »

I am relearning how to do custom graphs under the new interface.

I found it a bit confusing with regard to labeling the axes when I create a X vs Y graph (rather than the usual Y vs time graph.)

At present all i can create on the x axis is a Label with this format "Variable Name (Day)" where day is the time unit and, I assume, the default unit for the time axis. Of course on an x vs y graph that is not useful. :|

Entering a value in the "units space" only changes the y axis label whether I am on the settings tab or in the x axis tab

Also, there seems to be no way to properly label the y axis except with the units (which seems to be the reasonable default.) I would like to be able to label both x and y axis with the form: Variable Name (units). At least as an option. (When in the settings tab, changing the "label box" only changes the label of the line not the axis label.)

Thanks for the report!

Sorry about the x axis label, this was an oversight and should be fixed in the next Vensim release. It should fix both using the correct units for the x axis variable, and supplying a custom x axis label.

For the custom y axis label, I will add this request to our queue.

Thank you!
