In fact, a primary motive in planning the "International Conference on
Systems Thinking in Management" is to bring SD and non SD people together
from various fields of research interest.
I will respond to Bo Newman separately. But, the prospect (or opportunity)
he wants to explore is worth a consideration by hard-core system
dynamicists. SD can only grow (faster) when SD professionals collaborate
with non SD people.

looking for a research partner
To the members of the list.
My name is Bo Newman and I am a researcher/practitioner in the field of
knowledge management with a primary focus on knowledge flows as they
support business processes and decisions. This work has also been extended
in to the improvement of project management systems though the application
of knowledge flow and agent-to-agent alignment analysis. For some time now
I have been considering teaming up with someone well versed in Systems
Dynamics and SD modeling who can extend my (non SD) models into the a more
actionable set of SD models.
The announcement of "International Conference on Systems Thinking in
Management" in November 2000 indicated an interest in the applications
of SD to Knowledge Management and project management.
I was wondering if there is anyone on the list who may be interested in
collaborating on a paper in this area.
For those who feel that face-to-face meetings are critical to the success
of such efforts, I am located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United
States.
Please respond directly to either of the addresses below.
I look forward to, and will respond to each reply.
