Venapp - simulation model interface

Post by sya_ouniversity »

I want to develop a Venapp to create a user interface so stakeholders can use my model to test out different policies. I use the PLE version.

However, I don't really understand the Vensim Help and I don't understand how to start. I tried to find the Vensim Demonstration Disk Venapp. I looked on my computer but when I look under Program Files\Vensim I don't see models\sample\intro.vcd. I have been able to find the DEFAULT2.VTS there. Do I just open that with a text editor tool? But then how do I choose the different venapp files to edit?

Does anyone have some additional tips on how to get started?

Thank you in advance!

If you are using PLE, your only option for an interface is to use SD Everywhere or Forio.

You can also build a simple interface on the diagram, without any additional tools.

The only option within Vensim is the DSS version. Is that correct?
