Hi,
I know there is a Loops button to find feedback loops going through a single variable.
But is it possible to find all unique feedback loops that exist in a model, going through all variables but counting each loop only once?
Thanks,
Kaveh.

Re: Finding unique feedback loops
No. Even for small models, the number of loops can run into millions.

Thanks for your quick response.
Re: Finding unique feedback loops
However, this is an area of active development, using the shortest independent loop set methodology originated by Kampmann and developed by a number of others in the SD literature.

Re: Finding unique feedback loops
Hi Admin and Tomfid,
I am looking through SILS for the first time. I see the help button redirecting to Oliva's page with publications. In reading, I feel like I need a better foundational understanding of the EEA from Forrester 1984 and SILS from Oliva 2004. Are there any recommendations on where to start with this? I am reading some elaborations and challenges to Oliva, but these tend to be written under the assumption that SILS can and is already understood by the reader. Any suggestions for a simple explainer article to start?
