New worldwide calendar of upcoming workshops and events

Post by John Sterman »

As readers of this list know, Tony Gill of Phrontis, in the UK, has
for several years compiled a periodic calendar of conferences,
courses, and contacts relating to system dynamics and posted them as
a free service to the SD community. Until now, the list has been
restricted to events in Europe.

Tony has graciously agreed to open the listing to events anywhere in
the world, beginning with the July posting.

The calendar is a listing of system dynamics related Conferences,
Chapter Meetings and stand alone short courses open to the general
public without any restrictions. It should be of interest to anyone
keen to know more or keep informed about SD - both new-comers and
experts.

If you are offering courses that teach system dynamics & simulation,
or courses that are built around a system dynamics simulation model
or microworld, please email Tony Gill the information
<Tony.Gill@phrontis.com> so he can include it in the monthly posting.
Please use the format below:

Day Month Event name location (sponsor organization, other information)

for example,

20-24 July: 2003 International Conference of the System Dynamics
Society in New York City

7-9 July: Systems Thinking & Dynamic Business Modelling near
London/Oxford, UK, Phrontis

Using this format will allow Tony to quickly copy and paste. You
must send your information to Tony for each edition of the calendar;
please do not ask or expect Tony to check a web site to get current
details. Tony aims to update and publish the list about the first
Friday/Saturday of each Month. You need to get him the information
before that Friday for it to be included.

The calendar has three sections: Conferences & Chapter meetings;
Courses & Workshops; and Internet Based Training. Tony will aggregate
courses and workshops by region, e.g. Africa & Middle East, the
Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe.

Many thanks to Tony for this valuable service!
