Hydro Thermal Electricity Scheduling

I am considering to use the vensim optimization tool for hydrothermal scheduling. Has anyone experience with that or performed scheduling with Vensim at all?

Hi Almeida. I think that vensim (or any other SD software, except for Anylogic) is suitable for simulating accurate scheduling, since SD has more to do with aggregation rather than discrete details in simulation. I´d recommend a discrete event simulation tool instead.
However, If your scheduling optimization problem can have certain aggregation then, at least, you could consider ithink, vensim, or powersim.
