Pawel & the SD List:

Klaus Vogstad has applied system dynamics to the nordic market for TGCs,
Tradeable Green Certificates. These are used to promote renewable
electricity generation and thus reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses.
His results are reported in the Proceedings of the 2003 SD Conference from
New York City.

Klaus is visiting our modeling research team at WSU this summer helping
us develop a TGC market model for the western USA. The TGCs would be used
as a vehicle to promote the achievment of Renewable Portfolio Standards
(RPS) which call for a certain percentage of the Distribution Companies'
electricity demand to be supplied by wind or other renewables.
