Recalling results from the previous time step

I am looking for a way to recall a variable's solution in the previous time step. My application is to simulate the dynamics when a processing facility looks like they will need to add or drop a shift given the current work volume. The first desire is to import or export work. This desire could be measured by last months shifts required - this month's shifts required. I have been able to solve this using data variabled but not with aux. variables,

Will DELAY FIXED do what you want? Just delay the paramter by TIME STEP.
