Xls files control

Is t possible to close an xls File from a Venapp. I did not see a commande for that, it should be very useful.

I don't believe it is possible at the moment. Its easy enough in code to 'ask' another program to close, but getting it to do as its told is not quite as easy as just asking.

On the Startup tab of Tools>Options you will find a checkbox to close excel when closing Vensim - this will request that Excel close when you exit Vensim. As Tony points out whether or not Excel actually closes is up to Excel.
