Problem with Synthesim (Vensim)

Post by hul_00 »

I am encountering a typical problem while running
Synthesim for my Stock and Flow Model (Using Vensim S/W). After starting Synthesim, for sometime it is working fine, then it is giving some error like "Problem with Physical Memory .. creating dump". After that the m/c is automatically getting rebooted without giving me any chance to interrupt or to save other things.

The Vensim s/w that I am using is: Vensim @ PLE for Windows version 5.4d

Please suggest what could be the reason for this type of error and how
to counter it. My m/c is running Windows XP

I have attached the .dmp file that it has generated before the m/c is rebooted

Some people have had problems on computers with Intel graphics cards. There are problems with the device drivers for some of these and the graphics in Vensim can expose these.

Find out what kind of graphics card you have and go to the website of the manufacturer for that card to find the newest driver for it. It will probably fix the problem. Note that the Windows XP search for device drivers does not always find the newest one.
