I installed version 5.5d a few weeks ago. When I draw a stock with an in- and an outflow that don't have names (pressing Esc), and want to connect a constant with the flows, then I get the message "Completion of arrow will introduce duplicate links" at the second flow. This doesn't happen if the flows are labeled.

I did not get a real clear picture of the diagram you constructed but an unlabeled flow passes the causality to the things it is connected to - usually the Level or if the flow connects two Levels both of them. So, for example, if you were to connect a constant to both an in valve and an out valve there would be two paths from the constant to the Level - thus the message. If the valves are labeled the causal connection is from the Constant to the Rate variables - one for each with no direct path to the Level.
