How to add scrollbars to Sable screens?

Post by michaelmaehr »

Good afternoon,

I have received a Sable file that was designed on a PC with a display resolution of 1600x1200. My notebook, however, has a maximum display resolution of 1024x768. Therefore, parts of the Sable screens are cut off. How can I add scrollbars to the Sable screens?

I have tried the following settings without any success:
1. View --> Size --> 1024x768
2. Workspace --> "Properties" tab --> Advanced --> Screen size tab --> (X) "Resize controls to fit screen", "Select project screen size": 1024x768.

At the moment you cannot display scrollbars. It is on the to-do list though.

Thank you for your advice. Then, is it possible to zoom out so that all controls fit on my low-resolution screen?

Give me a bit of time and I will test a few things.

No, not yet. Hopefully within the next couple of days.

I managed to find time to experiment.

If you want to open the document in Sable Developer, you will need to contact the original designer and ask them to resize things for you.

If you are opening in Sable Runtime, make sure the Screen Size is set to 1600x1200 as it was originally, and the "Resize controls to fit screen" is checked. Now when you open and Sable detects a different screen area than the one it was designed for, all the controls will be scaled down to fit on the screen.

I'll put in my 'things to do' list an item to resize existing screens in Sable Developer.

All the best,

Tony.
