Could anyone help discuss the relationship between time step and space step in simulation modeling? Considering many simulation models in physical engineering, the computational domain is made grid. Materials flow from grid to grid with a certain speed. The grid size is the spatial step which is numerically solved.
Can this spatial step be represented in system dynamic models?

There was something written up about this in the system dynamics review some years ago - I think related to watersheds (or perhaps only GIS) but i don't remember the details. Certainly there is a theoretical literature on finite grid solution techniques for partial differential equations.
The short answer to your question is, I am pretty sure, yes but not very accurately.
