Hello,
I am building a model to represent a disaster warning system. The goal is to see if the system performance is alright even under the extreme condition (i.e., worst-case). So, I run the model under that condition with every parameter value assigned for the most pessimistic condition.
Here, do I need to perform a comprehensive sensitivity analysis by using Monte Carlo Simulation? I myself think that such an analysis is not neccessary because the idea was to evaluate the system behavior under the extreme condition--the event of real emergency.
Sensitivity Analysis
sensivity analysis
Hi
If the problem you describe is continuous, and the extreme conditions are still continuous, then the probabilities of these conditions vary continuously even in extrem conditions, and a sensitivity analysis can still be done, and can eventually give insight too.
