Hi there
Im looking for information on anyone who has undertaken or knows of models

phenomenon.

Modelling Criminal Behaviours
I believe Chanoch Jacobsen at Technion in Israel published system
dynamics work modeling criminal behavior in a work called Simulating
Violators.

The Multnomah County (Oregon) Criminal Justice Department did a lot
of work in that area in the early to mid-70s. I think they mostly
used stochastic queing models (GASP, GPSS type stuff), but their
hearts were in the right place. Anyone in the Portland OR crowd
remember it? Also, I vaguely recall some work being done at John
Jay College in New York City and at SUNY-Albany (Don Gottfredson
and Co.), but could be wrong. And, of course, theres all the
Heroin use models in the SD literature.
Good luck! Bill Steinhurst

Modelling Criminal Behaviours
Hello Steve,
A sight which might be of interest is the "Academic Center for
Experiments in Simulation". These are modelling initiatives undertaken
in the social services area. The www is:
http://www.fgg.eur.nl/fsw/bsk/aces.html.
Hopefully this is of some help.

Modelling Criminal Behaviours
This is Andy Ford at WSU replied to Bill Steinhursts question to any of us
in the NorthWest who might remember some modeling work of criminal justince
in Multnomah County. One of the modelers is Bob Johannsen. Bob is with
Portland State University. His students did a model of the people flow
through the Multnomah County Sheriffs office. If you want to learn more,
you might reach Bob at
