models of prison growth?

Hello John,
There is an article in the latest issue of OR insight Volume 11, issue 1,
January-March 1998 called "Forecasting the prison population - predicting
the consequences of sentencing policy" by Peter Grove, John Macleod and
David Godfrey which appears to be using system dynamic methods (quite
successfully) to predict the UK prison population. The journal is published
by the Operational Research Society.
