I am planning to purchase a System Dynamics Analysis software for Win 95
based machine. I was wondering if you have had any experience with Stella,
Ithink or Vensim. Do you know if there a published review of their
capabilities and weaknesses. I am new to the System Dynamic mail list and
very much appreciate input on this matter.

Need advice on purchase of SD software!
I use a package called powersim that is somewhere between ithink and vensim
in capability, but it is very user friendly and quite robust. I would
suggest getting more information on that package to mix in with the other
options. ( you can visit thier web site http://www.powersim.com)

Need advice on purchase of SD software!
> I am planning to purchase a System Dynamics Analysis software for Win 95
I use a pair of packages: Vensim DSS32 and Dynamo for Windows 4
Release.
I recommend both: The second because permets to take profit of a lot of
models written in dynamo. And the first because it is easy to build
models, to explain them to people that do not know the SD techniques,
and as I can testify, after a short exposition of this tool, auditorium
is able to build his own models.
Vensim, as others new software, also include a lot of analysis tools and
guided mechanisms to build models in graphical and text manners.
I invited you to read about any of our experiences in both soft in the
web under construction:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepage ... s/sd96.htm
Other useful address that you must visit is the Vensim home page:
http://world.std.com/~vensim, where you find other paths or references
about POWER SIM, I-THINK, STELLA, in addition to named Dynamo. And
this is a door to a lot of references or WEBs about SD groups
activities.
