Given the exponential growth in the prison population in this country,
fueled by anti-drug laws and prison without parole laws, Im interested
in studying this situation/problem using system dynamics. Does anyone
know of related work in the U.S., Europe, or elsewhere?

I believe George Richardson at Rockefeller College, SUNY-Albany has done
considerable work in this area. In addition, while Im not as sure, I believe
there was some work done with some folks at MIT, working with the federal
courts.

John,

You might also wish to look at Bill Schaffers PhD thesis completed at MIT
around 1977. A copy should be available from MIT libraries.
