Sustainability of Transport

Dear friends,

I am wondering if anyone can direct me to usefull literature, projects or
readings concerning the sustainability of transport (with SD as a basis). So far
I encountered the work of Andrew Ford Modelling the environnement and the
classics by Meadows , Meadows and Randers Limits to the Growthand Beyond the
Limits.

Besides these books I found a couple of projects using SD. The ASTRA project
carried out on the behalf of the European Commission. The ISIS (1996) project
Act-vill Study 4 Development of simulation models for particular cities ....
alternative solutions to the problems. A project by TNO in the Netherlands
called Scenario Explorer.
Further I found a couple of articles (Abbas) in the conference proceedings that
focus on suitability of the use of SD for transportation oriented problems. Did
anyone work on transportation oriented problems???

My questions are:
- Are there smaller(public) models to explain the concept of sustainability?
- Are the transportation models on a more aggregate level, preferrably
sustainability focus.
- I would like to have material that is transparant and explainable, the work in
the projects is on a disaggregate level. Does anyone have suggestions??
