Greetings
in response to Robert Glitzs thoughts on a System Dynamics certificate:
You might want to look into the new System Design and Management program
at MIT. (try the web page http://web.mit.edu/sdm/www/index.html )
It offers degree and certificate programs with a significant
distance learning opportunity. The foucs is systems thinking, of which
system dynamics is a part. You may also wish to contact
Marcia Chapman marcia@mit.edu (617)-253-7697
She is the program director.

Sean,
I checked the URL and scanned the MIT System Design and Mgt (SDM) program. It looks
interesting, but its not what was discussed at the System Dynamics Society conference.
It only offers degree programs, its for engineers wishing to become strategic
engineers, the only system dynamics course offered is an optional elective, and the cost
is pretty sky high: $50,000 for the distance learning option!!!
Thanks for the pointer, though. Ill pass on the reference to some of my
engineering/systems acquisitions colleagues.
