Hello,

I just recently got access to this discussion regarding System dynamics and
related topics. Im working on my Degree thesis at the Norwegian University
og Science and Technology, and Im focusing on the use of simulation in
decision support systems. I have various questions which I hope some might
have some comments to:

1) Experiences with simulation as a decision support tool:- how can
simulation contribute to better decisions compared to other decision
support tools? Why spend resources on this tool?

2) System dynamics vs discrete-event simulation: are there examples of
particular problems which best can be solved by SD compared to
discrete-event simulation? If this is the case, why?

3) Logistics: problems regarding logistics have very often been approached
by discrete simualation. I have seen examples of SD models in connection
with logistics, and I wonder if there exist concrete arguments for the use
of SD in such questions.
