Water Balance Modeling

Dear All,
Im trying to model the impact of increased agriculture intensification in
upper catchments on water availability downstream. This would broadly
involve modeling water balance for three sub-basins (Upper, Middle and Lower
Basins) in one basin.
I remember reading about the water balance model which Ricardo Sgrillo is
working on as well as several others who are working on related issues,
including Paula Antão, Lanhai, Morten Ruud and others.
I would appreciate help from all of you in this context. I would be
especially interested in reading and learning from similar work already done
elsewhere.
