Hi Paula,
We did some research on Modeling of a Wetland for Sustainable Development.
Parts of it may be related to sustainable watershed mangement. It was
Burak Guneralps M.S. thesis. Two references are:

-" Modeling a Wetland through Sustainable Development: Uluabat Lake"
(with B. Güneralp), Proceedings of the 19th International System Dynamics
Conference, Atlanta, 2001, pp. 73-74.

-"Systemic Modeling of a Wetland for Sustainable Development" (with B.
Güneralp), Proceedings of 4th Systems Science European Congress,
Valencia, Spain, Sept. 1999, pp. 541-550

The journal version is also in the pipeline for publication:
-ÒA dynamic model of a shallow freshwater lake: Implications for
sustainable managementÓ (with Burak Güneralp). Ecological Modelling
(revision submitted).

Burak is of course much better equipped to answer further questions. He
may also be able to send parts of the thesis. (I can send the related
research report by airmail if you wish).

Dear All,

Is anybody currently working on sustainable watershed mangement?

As I am doing my PhD on the subject and intend to build a model using
STELLA (applied to a Portuguese watershed), I am very interested on
exchanging ideas concerning the complexity of the scientific area.

Best regards,

Paula Antão

You might want to consider addressing this question to subject matter
experts at, say:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gwmodel (ground water modeling)
or
www.haestad.com/forums for the watertalk forum.
or
