Dear friends,
I came upon a handy little book on philosophy of science that I think
might interest most of you. The reference is:
Okasha, Samir (2002) Philosophy of Science: A Very Short Introduction.
Oxford: Oxford University Press
A subject of direct interest to SD would be Chapter 3, ""Explanation in
science"", which includes a section on causality.
The book is small, well written, and covers the most important issues in
post-Aristotelian epistemology. The price reflects the book's quality
rather than its size.
Happy reading!
