Hello!

Does anyone know of any work (or publications) where data have been compared using System Dynamics modeling versus simultaneous equations?

Thanks,

I assume that by ""simultaneous equations"" you mean econometric studies that
assume a supply and demand curve, for instance. In that case, a lot of work
has been done on that, mostly at the philosophical / methodological level.
For instance, you might check out John Sterman's ""A skeptic's guide ..."" and
""Appropriate summary statistics ..."" articles and the forward and backward
citations from that. Very early on, Gil Low studied Samuelson's
multiplier-accelerator model and compared its dynamics to a continuous-time
system dynamics model. Sorry that I don't have the exact titles -- this is
a quick response to your query -- but hopefully it should give you something
to go from.
