Hi,
How could I delete a shadow variable without affecting its source variable? When I delete the first, the second is done too.
Thank you.

Use the magic wand tool to hide it.
I have always thought of "Shadow Variables" as purely graphical objects, you use them to help remove a lot of clutter from influence diagrams. So if you delete a shadow variable, you are not deleting/hiding a graphicl object , you are deleting the actual parameter.
Hope this helps.

you can also drag the shadow variable on top of its source variable and drop it in to make it go away.

Thank you so much for your helps.
I am currently using Vensim PLE, so no magic wand tool is given.
Bob's method is cool, I like it, but will not work when the shadow variable and its source are at defferent views, right?
I cannot drag a shadow variable across its view.

Dear Bob and Tony,
I have already found a solution, by clicking Edit>Cut, and selecting "remove from this view but do not change model structure".
Thank you.

instead of Edit>Cut you can also press the delete button on your keyboard and then select "remove from this view......"
