I recently bought a laptop with vista pre-installed.

I noticed a problem when trying to view a model with PLE 5.6D. The hidden variables do not becoming visible when the "show all" pull down is invoked.

The same model (saved as vmf) did not exhibit this problem using VenRead - the hidden variables became unhidden.

I believe the model was created in DSS.

Thanks for the note - nothing to do with Vista - this appears to be a problem in newer Vensim PLEs - PLE does not have the option to show and hide variables and everything is suposed to always be visible - but that was not happening with variables hidden ifrom models created in another version of Vensim.
