I need one of the variables to retrieve data each time step from a .vdf file that has taken me all day to get into vensim. I am finding the help section not very helpful!


The errors I get are
require a data file to be specified {and}
unable to load exogenous values aborting.

I realise I need to specify the data file but I can't work out how. Also, is the data file I have imported correct (I can see a graph of the data)
I assume I go into equation editor
then set the variable type as ??? data or lookup??? or auxillary.
Then I need to put something in the equation box to tell it what data
I haven't got a clue what ... I'm sure the answer is really obvious.....but not to me

What am I missing???

Model->Simulate, then click "Advanced", and "Data Sources".

Just a few bits to go, and the model will be perfect(-ish.)
