Hello, my name is Merrill Sanders and Im new to system dynamics and want
to learn more about it.
While I have been aware of system thinking, Ive only recently developed
this interest. I supervise an Analytical Laboratory and was trying to get
some help in doing some automation. One of the people I contacted said I
needed to take a systems approach and suggested that I study a bit about
General System Theory. So I obtained a book on the subject and read it.
Cant say that I fully understood it, but enough of it made sense that I
began a search on the Interenet for related topics. One thing lead to
another and here I am.
>From what Ive learned so far, I think system dynamic/system thinking can
be a great help to me in my work. Im particularly interested in
simulations and would like to learn enough about it to be able to develop
some models for processes in my laboratory. Im too new to this subject to
be able to explain much more about what I want to do, but it seems to me to
be a step beyond Total Quality Management. Perhaps there is someone that
could suggest how I could go about learning more and help me with some
specific ideas that apply to Chemical Analyses.
