Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so please bear with me if I botch something up. I'm also new to building bar graphs and figured out from the Help that I needed to create a vgd file, which I did, one file containing six bar graphs, each bar graph of the form:

In order to place the bar graphs on a View using the Input Output Object, I used the "Into Model" button on the Graphs tab of the Control Panel. But then, of course, I lose all the custom graphs I've created (per the Help in the Reference Manual, Ch 12, Section on Graphs, Custom Graphset section, "Into Model" paragraph), which is very frustrating if one is experimenting with assigning the time one wants the bar graphs to represent. Is there any way to place vgd file contents on a View without using "Into Model?"

Once you have loaded the .vgd graphs (using either File>Load Custom from the text editor or the Open button on the control panel they can be displayed in any view.

If you want to have both the new and the old graphs use the Save As.. button from the control panel, then edit the resulting .vgd file and add bar graphs to that. Then all of your graphs will be in the file you are editing. After you are satisfied you can use the Into Model button or, if you are publishing, simply stick with the vgd file.
