Java + full dll problem

Hi all,
I am trying to study how to run a simulation from a java application. But the example in Vensim directory does not work correctly when I am using full dll (if I use minimal dll it works).
The problem is that sometimes, when I use full dll, I get Vensim message (title: “Stop from Vensim”; Warning: “open the file C:\... using the Vensim Model Reader.”) when I am loading the model.
When I republish the model I can load it and the simulation works properly. Any ideas how to correct the problem?
Thanks

The minimal DLL was discontinued some time ago. So the first question is what version of Vensim are you using? The error message you are getting suggests that you may need to reinstall Vensim DSS on the computer you are working on.

My version is Vensim DSS 5.5c
Ok. I have to try to reinstall Vensim DSS on my computer and test after that.

If you continue to have trouble you should update to 5.7a.

I've exactly same problem than priihima has, but I'm developing in the .NET-environment. I've installed in my machine Vensim PLE and Vensim Model Reader, 'cos I wasn't sure that which one I need to get VenDLL32.dll installed. And I'm using 5.7a version. Do I need to have DSS to get rid of this problem?

Vensim DSS is required for any development work on the Vensim DLL. Once you have an application developed you may package it and provide it to people to run using the Vensim Model Reader.

Thank you for your reply.
Actually I've the same problem even with a vpm-file published from Vensim DSS. I am developing Web Service with .NET and Web Service is using Vensim DLL (VenDLL32.dll). Web Service is working fine for a while when we make vpm-file, but after a while the vpm-file stops working and vensim.err -log is telling "STOP: open the file ... using the Vensim Model Reader." After making vpm-file again, everything works fine for a while. Is Vensim DSS still the answer?

Thanks for the note. Vensim DSS is not licensed to provide web services. Contact me, or a distributor, to discuss getting a license for the Multicontext DLL which is licensed for this purpose.
