Hi,
I've got a model in vpm format (from Tom Fiddaman's web site) but I don't know how to run it.
I have a Vensim DSS version (a little older, boufgt about 4-5 years ago).
Can you help me?
Thanks a lot

Hi
I tried to unload one of the file from Tom Fiddaman'é web site.
Il worked well if I opened it directly, but did not when I unloaded it and tried to run it from the unloaded version.
The data file was missing.
In fact when you unload the model you must precise the format of the model and add .vmf to the name of the file.
Othewise it names the model .mdl and it does not find the data file. I suppose that the .vmf format has the data included in it.
If you load it as .vmf unless there exist a version problem.
you version maybe cannot run packed models.
In my latest version you can run it.
Regards.

You can download the Vensim Model Reader from vensim.com to run packaged models (or update). They will not run in older Vensim versions.

Hi there,
I've got the model reader, nice, but I need to see the equations (that's the reason why I've downloaded the model).
Is there a way to "port" the model so I can read the equation with my old VENSIM DSS ?
Thanks a lot for your help

Hi all,
should I have to assume that there's no way to do that ?
So the only chance is getting the thesis and replicating the model ?
Thanks a lot

To see equations in the Vensim Model Reader use one of the two document tools in the analysis toolbar on the left. The upper one shows the equation of the currently selected workbench variable, the lower all equations.
