Hi
I would like to improve the way I analyze models, by automating the way I analyze the behavior of models, using mainly batch processing.
For instance I may first use different simulations, and depending on the results, launch an optimization with adapted parameters and depending on the results, go back to the different simulations, then maybe launch a sensibility analysis, etc… all this in an automatic way . This can for instance be done through the night.
I often lose a lot of time making interactive work and this new way of planning the work and the analysis will be more efficient.
One problem with the command scripts, is that I have not found ways to control the flow of the commands, with a branching process to specific labels or loop functionality. The only control command is the ‘if then else’ one.
Is it possible to control that sort of process using the Venapp?
As it looks, Venapp is mainly to ease interactive analysis from non modelers. It is not my case, as I look for batch processing and I am the modeler.
If it is not possible, what other ways are preferable?
Through dynamic data exchange or using the DLL functionality from Excel VBA for instance, or directly from my database? I use Firebird, the free version of Interbase that can be used with Delphi or its own internal language.
Another way would be using ODBC connectivity.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
JJ
