Hello,

I wish to run simulations of a .vmf model file in the Vensim Model Reader from the windows command line. Is this possible ?
If it isn't possible in Vensim Model Reader, perhaps in another version of Vensim?

Thanks anyway

Vensim DSS supports command line operations via command files. See the chapter in the DSS reference supplement on command files. This is not supported in any other configuration.

So Vensim Model Reader has no possibility to run models from outside? I have to go via command file or DLLs? My idea was to run a model by a program like Matlab.

the model reader does support the Vensim DLL but the calling application file needs to be packaged into a .vpa file. See Chapter 13 of the DSS Reference Supplement for details. I have not worked with Matlab so I do not know if this approach would be practical in that setting.
