slight problem with new 5.9b version

Hi

I am experiencing a minor problem that I did not remember appearing on older versions.
It may have been already reported.
If the lock sketch is active in the extreme left of the sketch tool, which happens for instance when one press on the Esc key if one right clicks on a non shadow variable to make the equation editor active on that variable and one closes the equation editor without having not modified anything, the variable disappears on the sketch even if the hide depth is set to 'show'. It appears again if one cliks on any other sketch tools excepted some like the comment or rate tool.
The problem appeared immediately after having downloaded the new version. ?
Best regards.

Hi JJ,

Thanks for the note. I would recommend you download and install 5.8c, which fixes an international character problem. I can't immediately reproduce the problem you are seeing, but will experiment a bit more. It is true if you right click, then click on the Equation button the variable disappears while the Equation Editor is open. But once I close the equation editor (Cancel or OK) it returns.

Hi Bob

The problem still exists with version 5.9c.
It is a refreshment problem. If I right click on a sketch non shadow variable, and I click on the equation button, the equation editor appears. If I close the equation editor without doing anything, the window disappears and the variable has disappeared in the main view window. If I click on any of the sktech toolset element that refreshes the view, like the arrow tools that put a handle on the arrows, the view is refreshed and the variable appears again.
If when the equation editor view is open, and I move slightly the window of the equation editor, than when I close the window, the variable has not disappeared, probably too because the view was refreshed by moving the equation editor windows.
Regards.
