when I open a *.vmf file,
fist, it will tell me windows can not find the file *.vmf , it let me to check the name of the file,and try again.

second, try again ,it's ok ,*.vmf file will be open successful.

why?

I am not aware of a problem like this. Are you trying to open the model the first time from Windows Explorer? If so when you try to open it is Vensim open or closed. The second time are you again trying from Windows Explorer or from within Vensim?

It sounds like an installation problem. You might update to version 5.9e (which will not install models in the Program Files directory) and see if that works.
