Delay

Post by nadia »

Hi everybody,

How to put delay in our model? Is it we just have to put delay mark in our sketch? For example, in Malaysia, we plant paddy 2 times in a year.We have 2 types of seasons which are main season and off season. The main season is in between 1st August to 28 February. While off season is in between 1 March to 31 July. Therefore, there is a delay here. In which it takes 6 months for the paddy to be produce for each season. So how I can solve this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Nadia.

Are you using Vensim?

If yes, there is a good introduction to delays at
http://www.vensim.com/documentation/ind ... delays.htm

It includes a link to a model that uses lots of different delay types.

Also take a look at the molecules which also have some delay structures within them.

You will need to ask on a forum dedicated to Stella (unless someone on here can advise).
