Hello,
I am using Mac Lion and Vensim DSS .
I want to use compile model.
I read "Vensim Compiled Simulation on the Mac"
http://blog.metasd.com/category/tools/vensim/

1)Xcode 4.2.2 download from AppleStore
2)I installed them
3)And add
Xcode > Preference >Command Line Tools
4)Re install of Vensim Dss(5.11a)
5)checking the Install external function and compiled simulation support to: box
6)Show error dialog
"Unable to create directory "/Users/Shared/Vensim/comp" for external function
/compiled simulation support"

Terminal command gcc show like this;
$ gcc
i686-apple-darwin11-llvm-gcc-4.2: no input files

So , I think compiler will installed .

Is there a wrong procedure ?

Do you have permissions to create directories in "/Users/Shared/"?

I had to delete the /Users/Shared/Vensim/Help folder in order to do solve this.

Now it's ok.
