I apply Vensim on a Windows 7 machine and recently installed the Vensim 6 Beta.
This afternoon I tried to implement the new Stochastic Optimisation option to an existing and well-used subscripted vineyard model.
After a few error messages I appeared to succeed in getting the optimisation and sensitivity control texts right - but Vensim crashes after initiating the optimisation, with the typical Windows 7 "..program has stopped operating" error message.
Am I experiencing a beta problem, or should I experiment some more with the control dialogues?
The optimisation is aimed at optimising 8 constants, all of which are subscripted, though I have limited the amount of subscripts to 2 for the test run.

Re: Vensim v6 crashes when attempting Stochastic Optimisatio
Vensim 6 accepted the control dialogues for stochastic optimisation after a reboot of Win7.
I assume the problem to have been a beta instability (?)
The optimisation works quite well!!

There was a bug in the output dialog in the initial release - you might want to download the latest 6.0.0.1 which was posted last Thursday or so.
