I was hoping this problem would be fixed with the update to V6.0A, but I am still unable to change the font size in the PLE equation editor. The default is rather small on a high res screen. :?:

I can change it on my PLE. Options->Options then click the equation editor font button.

What happens when you do this?

Are you on a mac with a retina display?

Tom: I am using a Dell E6510 with a widescreen 1920x1080 resolution. Windows 7 ultimate 64bit (Service pack 1).

I find that I cannot change the equation editor font in either PLE or Professional with the following exceptions: I can change it to display Batang font up to size 14 and Arial font up to size 12 but also, even with these I cannot change the color of the font. (obviously I have not checked all the fonts). Font changes for other options seem to work (e.g. the font for the bottom toolbar) but I cannot change color of those either (not so important).

I tried changing screen resolution but that made no difference.

I cannot change the colour either (it is always black).

But I can change the fonts without any problem. I did try selecting a 72 point font and that didn't work, but selecting 16 point font was fine.

Is it just the size/colour of the font that is causing problems? Can you select something like Times New Roman?

Yes the problem seems to be related to the font size specified.

On my machine I can use Times New Roman but only if it is 10 points or smaller. Same with Comic Sans MS. And apparently with other fonts (e.g. Jokerman if smaller than 10 pts.)

These actually show up a bit larger than default on my screen because I have selected a "display option" that displays fonts and icons (etc) at 125%.

So for my desire to have the font easily visible this is OK. But, still, shouldn't work like that ??
