SimSetup in VenSim6.1

I have installed VenSim 6.1, both the PLE and PRO versions, both on a Mac and a PC. When I pull up a model and try to use SimSetup, the nice new feature allowing me to choose an input dataset and select the integration method appears on the left hand side of the ribbon with the simulation controls. Unfortunately, the constants and table function on the sketch are no longer shaded and active, i.e., I cannot change them by clicking on them. This is the case in all four versions of the software. Is there some setting I need to change or has this feature been removed from the software?
