ED SIG Update: 19 Nov 2003
Posted: Wed Nov 19, 2003 10:18 am
Dear ED SIG members, and SDS community in general:
1. UPDATES: Please, note that this is the LAST ED SIG Update posted at
the general SDS Listserv. Future ED SIG Updates shall be restricted to
the SDsustain Listserv - which is ED SIGs official communication medium
- so that people do not receive them twice. General interest ED SIG
messages, however, may continue to appear at the SDS Listserv.
2. WORK: The ED SIG has had one paper submission for review, which is in
process. The Group needs more evidence of work in the field of
Sustainable Development/ Environmental Dynamics/ System Dynamics/ World
Dynamics/ Urban Dynamics, etc., so lets - please - show what weve
got! Submissions dont need to be long, and we also consider
re-printing already published works.
3. DATABASES: For those published works that cannot be re-printed for
various reasons (e.g. books that sell well), we can include them in our
reference databases. At the moment I have prepared a sample of a
document for your appreciation and feedback, posted at:
[home.utad.pt/ed/web_resources.pdf]. This is proposed as a replacement
of the HTML database that we have at the moment. What do you think?
4. SHARE: If you have ideas for projects, collaborations, papers, books,
etc., please share them through the ED SIG. The suggested way for that
is through the SDsustain Listserv:
[http://pobox.une.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/sdsustain]. People who are
more used to the SDS Listserv may use that for an initial call, but we
dont want to put much weight on the general list when it comes to
special interest discussions.
Best regards,
Tasso
