Financial Modeling

[Hosts note: The following is a request for people interested in a
particular type of work. Please respond directly to Mr. Nickols.]
I am looking for firms or individuals specializing in modeling the financial
behavior of business entities. My company, Educational Testing Service, is
making increasing use of computer-based testing (CBT). The Graduate Record
Examination (GRE) is perhaps the most visible of these new tests but there are
several others. As the transition to CBT proceeds, the financial behavior of
the programs making this transition reflects a complex mix of the paper-based
and the computer-based components. Owing to fixed-variable cost ratios, there
is not a one-for-one reduction in paper-based costs as test candidates move to
CBT. As we examine various transition options, it would be very useful if we
could model the financial implications of these options in a thorough,
systematic, and credible way. Hence my request.
I am not looking for someone to come in and build modeling systems for us; I
am instead looking for someone to consult to us and help us do it ourselves.
