Hi, guys,
I'm new with vensim, and I'm having the following data-related question:
- How to put excel database in variables?
I would to know if anyone works System Dynamics in water management using the software vensim. Because I do research in this area and I have some doubts. We can exchange e-mails.
Cheers,

Re: How to put excel database in variables?
Another question. The only way to put historical data is by importing data or can put directly into the variable?
Thanks for the answers,

Re: How to put excel database in variables?
If you are using PLE, there is very little you can do regarding external data. You need PLE+ really to import directly from Excel.

Re: How to put excel database in variables?
Could I put my historical data using the "with lookup" command, instead of importing a database?
My data range from 2005 to 2015. They are in a monthly range, but could be placed annually.
What do you think?

Re: How to put excel database in variables?
You can do that. There are some drawbacks - for example, you can't distinguish the interpolated values from real data points - but it works.
