Hi all,

Hopefully a Vensim/Ventana employee can comment.

I wanted to check about remote access and virtualization of PLE or PLE+. For the fall semester at Central Connecticut State University we may need to have students and faculty access PLE/PLE+ from a campus computer remotely (RDP), make it available via our Citrix server, and/or on a virtual desktop (like Apporto).

Based on the license (https://vensim.com/license/) it appears that this is either all the above is permissible, or a network license will need to be purchased per user/student. Could I get any confirmation on whether this is allowed, in any form?

Remote access is fine, a remote machine is no different to a physical machine.

Under the circumstances, we'll certainly interpret the license liberally; the intent is for any bona fide educational use of PLE to be permitted. Email us if you need more assistance.
