Since your model will have applications to many other areas. Would you
consider sharing your insights?
I think SD would be appropriate if it is the case that small little errors
along a process accumulate or interact in some dynamic way.

Human Error Model in System Dynamics
I am currently considering the development of System Dynamics model to
assist in the process of identifying critical situations in complex
socio-technical systems. More specifically the development of a human error
model that could predict possibilities of high error risk in such systems.
Since I have not got much experience in system dynamics can you please
inform me whether SD could be the most appropriate methodology for such a
model.
I would be grateful if you could provide me with any SD models of similar
nature.
Regards
Andreas
