Hello!

I am currently doing my assignment of Systems Dynamics. I have a model file VCR_Industry_871.mdl and a data file VCR data.vdf, both in the same path. My version of Vensim is 9.0.1.

After selecting the data file in Datasets tab, I run the model but Vensim says "ERROR: Unable to open the file VCR data.vdfx".

I don't know what happens. Can someone help me? Can someone help me to convert vdf to vdfx? Thanks in advance.



Details are as follows:

VCR data.vdf is well loaded

I think the warning is a false positive due to the legacy vdf format. The file is fine as far as I can tell.

I converted it to vdfx in case that's more convenient. You can use the mdl file to view the contents of the data. There's no diagram so you have to use the Variables tab of the Control Panel.
