any guess on how to fix this?

That's looks like a cryptic MacOS thing. Google has tons of hits on it, most seem to be suggesting not enough disk space to unzip a file.

So first check your disk is not full.

Next, there used to be a way to "fix permissions" on the Mac, try the current equivalent.

Finally, when Vensim asked if it could access "My Documents", did you click yes? If you clicked no, there must be a way to reset this.

thanks. I've tried all these things but none of them seem to be fixing the problem.
opening a previously crafted Vensim model, I get a different error message

08:49:57: Failed to get the working directory (error 1: Operation not permitted)
08:49:57: Failed to get the working directory (error 1: Operation not permitted)
08:49:57: Unable to open path '/Users/luchagenaars/Library/CloudStorage/[cloud provider]/[doc name]/' (error 1: Operation not permitted)
08:49:57: Unable to add kqueue watch (error 9: Bad file descriptor)

It might be best to ask Apple for help (or better, on an Apple user forum). These errors are file permission problems, there is nothing Vensim can do about them.

Hi,
I have the same problem. May you please inform me if you fixed it? Also, I do not have any issues with disc space.
Thanks

Hi, mine was fixed by the following instructions:
System setting> Privacy and Security> Full disk access
I added Vensim to the current list, and after that, it has been working well.
I hope it helps you.
